Parents
Parental Involvement
We see our relationship with you as a partnership.
We aim to share our understanding of your child’s development, both informally and in other ways. We want to explore with you the ways that play encourages learning, and how we can work together on this.
You may be able to spend time :
• joining in activities - reading stories, playing turntaking games or with puzzles
• sharing an interest or skill you have, for example in dance, music, crafts, singing, woodwork, gardening, cooking, ball games
• making story props or games
• joining us on outings
We know many of you have commitments that will prevent regular helping out. We are also aware that parents feel able to become involved in many ways, which may not be directly with the children. We want all parents to feel involved.
For parents with English as an Additional Language we are happy to find interpreters, or to translate documents, where you feel this will help.
